Modern DDoS attacks span every layer — from massive Layer 3/4 floods to encrypted, application-layer strikes that mimic legitimate traffic. Traditional defenses act like sledgehammers, relying on blunt blocking or rate limiting that causes collateral damage and still lets attackers slip through. This session shows how surgical removal techniques bring precision to every layer, dissecting and eliminating malicious flows in real time while preserving uptime, performance, and user experience.

Ready to stop sifting through endless security data and start taking decisive action?
In today's complex digital world, traditional vulnerability management often leaves teams overwhelmed. You have countless security alerts, but they're scattered across different tools, creating blind spots and a constant state of firefighting. It's nearly impossible to know what to fix first, and security teams are left reacting to threats instead of preventing them.
Tenable is changing that. We've moved beyond traditional vulnerability management to a more powerful approach: Exposure Management.
Our platform unifies all your security data—from IT, cloud, OT, and identity—into one clear view.
We transform a mountain of scattered data into a handful of strategic, prioritized actions. This means you can:
Come and hear our presentation on our journey to Exposure Management, and learn how to begin yours

Since 2013, IE’s OktoberTekfest has been brewing up the best sessions and tech demos for Collaboration, Cybersecurity, Networking, Data Center, Cloud, and AI. We bring together over 300 IT professionals from across the Southeast to tap into technology, inspire innovation, explore the biggest trends in the industry, and connect over bratwursts & brews!
View our video of past OktoberTekfest highlights.
"OktoberTekfest has, in previous years, proven beneficial to my team’s awareness of cybersecurity best practices, industry trends, and the application of technology to support business operations. Furthermore, the opportunity to connect with vendors and consultants on a local level has been valuable to the support of existing and future organizational initiatives.
"I really value OktoberTekfest because it's a great chance to connect with other IT professionals, see the latest in tech, and walk away with ideas we can actually use. Internetwork Engineering, a Presidio company, has been a trusted partner to the Town of Wake Forest, and events like this show how committed they are to helping us stay ahead."
"Tekfest is the perfect size. It feels personal while still being packed with valuable content. The sessions are technically relevant, and there is a great variety of vendors to speak with. The IE team always delivers with an excellent lunch and fun post-conference events that make the whole experience enjoyable."
As an airport, rarely does our IT staff have an opportunity to attend “tech” driven events. We have so many “airport” driven events that seem to occupy most of our travel. So, there are many reasons, we enjoy attending OktoberTekfest. For our staff, we have a chance to meet “one on one” with various vendors face to face to discuss successes, failures, possible solutions, and to discover future opportunities to better our network. Tekfest actually introduced us to the Pure Storeage and Veeam teams, which later that next year we purchased and installed through to develop our new virtual environment. Also, we were able to network with other “techies” to find out what was working in their environments. During the after hours events, we sit around and discuss technology related challenges and brag about our successful implementations. Last year, we met with the Internetwork Engineering UCS/UCM team and discussed our goal to upgrade our phone system. Within the year, we had a purchase order to Cisco through IE to complete the upgrade.
I would say for our IT staff, the event provides an opportunity to get away from the office, in a relaxed environment, to learn and interact with other people from all over our region, who work in the same field as us. I am trying to invite another customer to join us this year."
If you're an IE/Presidio customer or prospect responsible for keeping your organization secure, connected, and competitive—OktoberTekfest is for you.
Whether you’re a hands-on Network Admin, a forward-thinking Systems Engineer, or a decision-making CIO or CISO, this event delivers the real-world tech insights that make stepping away from your desk worth it.
Join hundreds of IT pros and execs for a day packed with practical sessions, deep-dive demos, expert access, and meaningful peer conversations—plus local brews and Oktoberfest vibes.
It’s where strategy meets technology—Oktoberfest-style. No fluff. Just high-value content and connections. Prost to that!
It’s not enough to see the latest trends in technology if you can’t take back actionable lessons to your teams. Tekfest is proud to offer multiple breakout sessions from today's top industry tech leaders.
With over 30 live demos & exhibitors, we’ve got you covered with the latest Collaboration, Networking, Data Center, CyberSecurity, Cloud, and AI solutions.
We have over 300 IT professionals come from across the Southeast to attend Tekfest. It's your opportunity to connect with peers, industry thought leaders, and the IE & Presidio Teams who are with you every step of your technology journey.
Think all tech events are the same? Think again. Here’s what you won’t find at Tekfest — and why that’s exactly what makes it worth attending.
You won’t be bombarded or pressured to buy anything. Instead, you’ll explore real solutions to real problems and have genuine conversations with industry experts who are here to help.
Every moment at Tekfest is designed to deliver value. From expert-led sessions to hands-on demos and real conversations with peers, you’ll walk away with information you can actually use. You won't regret blocking off your calendar and taking a day away from the office - it's an investment that's worth your time.
We go beyond the basics — where tech meets experience. Yes, you’ll see cutting-edge demos, but you’ll also discuss challenges with peers, swap stories over steins, and dig into OktoberTekfest-themed bites. It's designed for real connection — not just a collection of swag.
