Job Description

The Corporate Counsel is a newly created position supporting IE's continued growth and will be a member of the Corporate Services Team. This individual will coordinate the review, negotiation, and execution of customer and third party legal agreements and serve as the first point of escalation within the department for legal matters. Corporate Counsel will also lead the effort to select, implement, and adopt a contract management life cycle platform; and assist in the development of a third party compliance program.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate the review and prioritization of all incoming legal agreements
  • Draft, revise and negotiate various legal documents
  • Research and analyze legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, legal codes and other related documentation
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Meet published deadlines
  • Improve existing departmental processes to enhance performance, standards, and effectiveness

Who You'll Work With

The Corporate Counsel will report to the EVP of Business & Legal Affairs and work closely with the Corporate Services Manager, in addition to developing collaborative relationships with the IE Sales, Presales, Delivery, Accounting, and Client Services teams, third party Vendors and IE Customers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What We're Looking for

A successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to independently handle tasks ranging from administration and organization, to tracking deadlines, ownership of a portfolio of matters, letter writing and legal analysis. There are no expectations as to deposition or trial experience. A law degree from an accredited university, a license to practice law, and 4 year's experience is required.  

Compensation

Compensation for this role will is based on candidate’s experience, work history and overall fit for the position. IE offers a competitive benefits package including health insurance and matching 401K.
