Secure Copilot Readiness and Adoption
Session Overview:
Like brewing good beer, successful Copilot adoption starts with the right foundation. This session provides a practical framework for identity, permissions, data governance, information protection, and compliance controls that reduce oversharing, protect sensitive information, and build trust.

Topic Area:
Infrastructure intelligence
Session Overview:
Every infrastructure team keeps a record of what it runs, whether that's a proper system of record, a wiki, or a spreadsheet someone updates when they remember. The trouble starts when the next initiative arrives, because automation at scale, a compliance deadline, and AI agents proposing changes all need to know not just what the record says but whether it's still true. This session traces what changed and what the shift from documentation to infrastructure intelligence involves: a canonical model of intended state, continuous reconciliation against what's actually deployed, action taken against that data whether the actor is a human, an automation tool, or an AI agent, and governance that every change passes through. Attendees will leave with a clearer view of how these four pieces fit together, and what that means for the initiatives already on their roadmap.
Speaker:
Marcus Sarmento, Director of Product Marketing
Bio:
Marcus Sarmento is Director of Product Marketing at NetBox Labs, the commercial steward of NetBox, the #1 network and infrastructure system of record. Over nearly two decades in product marketing, he has focused on networking and infrastructure, with prior roles at Cisco ThousandEyes, Fastly, Sysdig, AppDynamics, and NETGEAR. Across those roles he has worked on both halves of the problem: the tools that watch what infrastructure is actually doing, and the record of what it was designed to do.

Session Overview:
What if your AI gateway is actually making your AI strategy more expensive, less secure, and harder to govern? Most AI gateways were built to route traffic, but AI traffic is fundamentally different. This session explores why the next generation of AI gateways must evolve from static traffic routers into intelligent control planes that can make decisions in real time. After all, the future of AI infrastructure isn't about knowing where traffic goes, it's about deciding where it belongs.
Session Overview:
A walkthrough of how AI is reshaping the workflow of Network Engineers. Intelligent OPS allows the marriage of AI and Automation to identify and automate repeatable solutions at enterprise scale.
Presenter: Brian Wisler, Vice President, Modern Networks, Presidio
Stay tuned for more details around this session.
Session Overview:
AI has changed both sides of the resilience equation. Attackers now move in minutes using deepfakes, poisoned data, and compromised agents, while enterprises need recovery they can actually trust, not just restore. This session breaks down eight AI-era attack vectors and the combined Veeam + Security AI response to each, then looks at how Veeam's platform itself is evolving to keep pace, including what's new in Backup & Replication V13.1 and a first look at the upcoming Veeam Intelligent ResOps. Attendees leave with a practical checklist for what to do about AI risk starting Monday morning.
Speaker:
Drew Schwartz, Senior National Technical Partner Manager
Session Overview:
In this session, attendees will explore how Zoom's AI-first platform is transforming the way organizations communicate, collaborate, and serve customers — from intelligent virtual agents to AI-powered revenue acceleration tools. We'll walk through real-world customer deployments and measurable outcomes, demonstrating how Zoom's Contact Center, Virtual Agent (ZVA), and AI Companion capabilities deliver tangible ROI. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how to identify and qualify AI-driven UC/CC opportunities within their own customer base, and how partnering with Zoom accelerates competitive displacement of legacy platforms like Cisco and Microsoft.
Speaker:
John Hindman, Account Executive
Session Overview:
AI has made building trust a lot more complicated. It ushers in new concerns about privacy and security, it can improve the effectiveness of traditional attacks, and it increases scrutiny around the authenticity of what you put out into the world.
But AI also has the power to accelerate trust. With AI and automation, large and small organizations can build, monitor, and maintain trust with their specific needs in mind—whether they need to establish a security foundation quickly, or create efficiencies within their outdated, manual-first programs.
In this session, we’ll dive into:
Topic Area:
SASE / Zero Trust
Session Overview:
Complex multi-vendor rollouts are the single biggest reason SASE projects stall out. When organizations try to migrate everything at once, execution grinds to a halt.
In this session, Cloudflare One and Presidio share a practical framework for moving past the strategy phase into a running, measurable security operation. We’ll skip the high-level theory and cover:
You'll walk away with a concrete playbook to guide your own deployment.
Speaker:
Jacob Rutski (Cloudflare dedicated resource at Presidio)
Session Overview:
Many organizations have been tasked with "doing AI," but few have a clear roadmap for deploying it securely, governing its use, and delivering measurable business value. In this roundtable session we'll share how we're enabling AI across our own business: from strategy and technology selection to governance, knowledge worker user adoption, and enterprise-wide rollout. Learn the lessons we've gained, the mistakes we avoided, and the best practices you can apply in your own organization.

Since 2013, OktoberTekfest has been brewing up the best sessions and tech demos for Collaboration, Cybersecurity, Networking, Data Center, Cloud, and AI. We bring together over 300 IT professionals from across the Southeast to tap into technology, inspire innovation, explore the biggest trends in the industry, and connect over bratwursts & brews!
View our video of past OktoberTekfest highlights.
"OktoberTekfest has, in previous years, proven beneficial to my team’s awareness of cybersecurity best practices, industry trends, and the application of technology to support business operations. Furthermore, the opportunity to connect with vendors and consultants on a local level has been valuable to the support of existing and future organizational initiatives.
"I really value OktoberTekfest because it's a great chance to connect with other IT professionals, see the latest in tech, and walk away with ideas we can actually use. Internetwork Engineering, a Presidio company, has been a trusted partner to the Town of Wake Forest, and events like this show how committed they are to helping us stay ahead."
"Tekfest is the perfect size. It feels personal while still being packed with valuable content. The sessions are technically relevant, and there is a great variety of vendors to speak with. The IE team always delivers with an excellent lunch and fun post-conference events that make the whole experience enjoyable."
As an airport, rarely does our IT staff have an opportunity to attend “tech” driven events. We have so many “airport” driven events that seem to occupy most of our travel. So, there are many reasons, we enjoy attending OktoberTekfest. For our staff, we have a chance to meet “one on one” with various vendors face to face to discuss successes, failures, possible solutions, and to discover future opportunities to better our network. Tekfest actually introduced us to the Pure Storeage and Veeam teams, which later that next year we purchased and installed through to develop our new virtual environment. Also, we were able to network with other “techies” to find out what was working in their environments. During the after hours events, we sit around and discuss technology related challenges and brag about our successful implementations. Last year, we met with the Internetwork Engineering UCS/UCM team and discussed our goal to upgrade our phone system. Within the year, we had a purchase order to Cisco through IE to complete the upgrade.
I would say for our IT staff, the event provides an opportunity to get away from the office, in a relaxed environment, to learn and interact with other people from all over our region, who work in the same field as us. I am trying to invite another customer to join us this year."
If you're a Presidio customer or prospect responsible for keeping your organization secure, connected, and competitive—OktoberTekfest is for you.
