(IE) Internetwork Engineering™ Achieves Cisco's ATP for Data Center Unified Computing Partner in the USA: Creating a dynamic data center with next-generation architecture
Charlotte, NC (April 7, 2010) - (IE) today announced that it has achieved the Authorized Technology Partner for Data Center Unified Computing (UCS) designation from Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO). This designation recognizes IE as having fulfilled the stringent training requirements and program criteria to design, sell, install, and support comprehensive Cisco data center solutions.
"We are excited to partner with Cisco on their innovative UCS platform," says Chuck Steiner, President and CTO of IE. "In this new era of Data Centers and Cloud Computing, it was critical to invest in the technology and make it a key offering for our expanded Unified Data Center Practice."
IE will play a major role in next-generation data centers with virtual computing infrastructure designed to increase flexibility and density while minimizing power and cooling requirements. Cisco's Unified Computing System (UCS) platform helps overcome these issues by:
• Integrating compute, virtualization, network, and storage access into a cohesive system that is managed, serviced, and tested as a whole
• Integrating a low-latency, lossless 10Gb Ethernet unified network fabric with enterprise-class x86-architecture servers
• Increasing IT staff productivity and business velocity via just-in-time provisioning and mobility support for both virtualized and non-virtualized environments
• Reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) at the platform, site, and organizational levels
As a Unified Computing specialist, IE is equipped to deliver innovative solutions based on a host of technologies that improve business capabilities by reliably and securely optimizing infrastructure, and as a result, businesses can focus on their core objectives.
