NCLGISA Fall Symposium 2017

IE is excited to once again sponsor the 2017 NCLGISA Fall Symposium in Asheville, NC. The symposium is an annual conference covering innovative ways to handle compliance requirements, cyber threats, and reporting.

IE's very own IT Security & Compliance Consultant, Jason Smith, will be presenting "Basic and Advanced Threat Detection" at 11 AM on Thursday the 26th..

The average time to detect an ATP style cyber threat is around 150 days, which is an improvement from years past. Ransomware appears to be an immediate detection, but we’ve learned that Ransomware may just be a symptom, while the attacker still has a silent presence on an organization’s network. A simple question that keeps many CIOs up at night, is: “are we breached?”. That question becomes harder to definitively answer as the threats increase in sophistication.
We will help you answer this question in our presentation, by demonstrating several techniques, processes, and some advanced tools as well. We will be showing some common attack techniques and the best methods to detect them, along with a roadmap of what to do after the threat is detected, which starts the path to incident response.

So join us October 25-27, 2017 at the US Cellular Center!
